Supervisor
Université de Montréal, Quebec

Dr. Isabelle Royal, Ph.D., is a neuropsychologist and member of the Ordre des psychologues du Québec (OPQ) since 2018. She holds a doctorate in neuropsychology (research and intervention) from the Université de Montréal. Her academic training and clinical experience in psychiatric hospital settings have led her to specialize in the neuropsychological assessment of adults living with mental health disorders or substance use issues (e.g., psychotic, bipolar, mood, and personality disorders).

Dr. Royal divides her practice between the Psychotic Disorders Program at the Douglas Mental Health University Institute and private practice. She also acts as a supervisor for neuropsychology interns and professionals engaged in continuing education. In addition, she has served as the primary therapist for Action-Based Cognitive Remediation (ABCR) and as a supervisor for a Ph.D. student delivering the intervention during their internship. Dr. Royal now offers ABCR supervision sessions.
