Dr. Danielle Penney is a clinical psychologist at the Centre for Personalized Psychological Intervention for Psychosis (Ci3P) at the Douglas Institute. She holds a PsyD/PhD in psychology from the Université du Québec à Montréal and has over 10 years of experience working in the field of psychiatry. Dr. Penney has developed expertise in Metacognitive Training (MCT), collaborating with co-developer Dr. Stefan Moritz to refine and adapt the English-language version of the intervention and its associated e-training tools. She has delivered MCT in clinical research settings and contributed substantially to the evidence base, authoring and co-authoring several rigorous meta-analyses evaluating the effectiveness of MCT for psychosis across multiple domains. Dr. Penney now offers supervision to mental health practitioners seeking to strengthen their skills and confidence in delivering MCT.
