Dr. Christopher Bowie is a Professor in the Department of Psychology at Queen’s University, where he also serves as the Director of Clinical Training. He completed his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Hofstra University and a postdoctoral fellowship at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. Dr. Bowie’s research focuses on cognitive remediation, neurocognition, and functional outcomes in people with serious mental illnesses, particularly schizophrenia. He has authored over 250 peer-reviewed publications and is a recognized international leader in cognitive remediation therapy, having developed and tested interventions such as Action-Based Cognitive Remediation (ABCR). Dr. Bowie also maintains an active clinical practice, specializing in psychological assessment and cognitive rehabilitation.
